This performance emerges through a rite of passage process that brings together leaders from around the world to cultivate bridges of connection through the expressive arts.
Together on one stage will be artists and activists from The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ecuador, Palestine, Ghana, India, Argentina, Israel, Uganda, China, and across the US. Together they will craft a story sharing the challenges they face and how they are creating pathways for peace individually and collectively.
The work is raw, beautiful, surprising, and filled with pictures of what is possible when people orient towards creativity, collaboration, and kindness.
This is both a celebration of the decades of innovative and brave work that Golden Bridge has offered to the world along with being a fundraiser to help sustain the many initiatives around the world born through this body of work.
Join us for this soulful expression of humanity’s capacity to move into life-giving action through dance, song, poetry, theatre, and love.

Golden Bridge is dedicated to our collective liberation through the birthing of embodied, global leaders and the bridging of peoples from diverse walks and ways.
After 35 years, our work within Golden Bridge has come full circle. Babies that were once dancing in their mother's womb are now epic leaders inspiring individuals and communities to creatively rise up in these radically challenging times. Five generations of this work ripple out into the world.
This beloved community event, Full Circle, shares the inspiring cross cultural, real life stories of resilience and peacemaking of our leaders. Through dance, film, song, and poetry, their vibrant energy will fill the stage and stir your soul. Heart opening. A picture of what is possible when we unwind our trauma and move into collaboration and innovation across inner and outer conflict zones. Meet these leaders who came of age on our dance floors and are now adult pillars in their own communities.

In this short introduction to creating and maintaining more gender-inclusive Girls Groups, Angus Baguinho will:
* Review foundational understandings of sex, gender, and sexuality
* Think critically about our own gender identities
* Continue the life-long work of examining and transforming our biases
* Recognize the cost of leaving transgender issues unaddressed
Learn how to expand our language and activities in ways that affirm both cis and trans girls, as well as the non-binary and trans-masculine youth who are brought into our care.
This workshop is particularly designed for facilitators of girls groups. Groups for girls are incredibly empowering for many youth who attend. However, if the definition of “girl” is too narrowly defined, transgender girls and youth who only sometimes or partly identify as girls, will likely struggle with self-esteem, sense of belonging, issues of identity, and most importantly their basic need for safety and understanding.
Some youth, who in no way relate to the term girl, may participate in girls groups because they have been misgendered by others as girls, because at one point they understood themselves as girls, or because a girls group is the only place available for them to pursue community, skills, and other opportunities. For these youth, it is important that we not only expand the definition of girl, but that we also make space within our girls groups for other genders who have also been marginalized by patriarchal and sexist ideologies and systems.
In this one hour 15 minute event, we welcome you to this deeply nuanced and life-saving teaching on how to extend our solidarity beyond girlhood to include the authentic identities and expressions of the youth that come to us in need of mentorship, guidance, and community.
Practical teachings and tools will be shared. Questions and dialogue included.

A teenage girl longs for affirmation that she is on the right path towards womanhood; she often dons the clothes, make-up and mannerisms of a woman, mistakenly believing that this turns her into one. Appearance is such a small part of what it means to be a woman, but who teaches our daughters this? Well, that’s we adults can help. We can spend time with our girls, in the company of other women, showing them the way. We find simple rituals to acknowledge as they cross certain thresholds, letting them know that we see they are on their way towards becoming women.
Kim McCabe, Founder of Rites for Girls will be discussing what girls have taught her about what they need from us adults.
* Practical tools for mentoring preteen and teen girls
* How to prepare girls for a puberty rite ceremony and celebration
This two hour Educational Event is for anyone who is interested in steering our children safely into adulthood - mothers, grandmothers, aunties, and anyone who works with pre-teen and teenage girls in a personal or professional way. We have the good luck to play a part in setting them on their path into their future.

Mireya will be sharing with us the way in which she connected and developed her "altar/sacred space creation" practice, through the influence of her own Mexican heritage, the expressive arts and guidance received in ceremonial practices. We will explore with this practice "the altar of life" as a place to anchor and inhabit more fully our inner lives, all our relations and life as a whole. Including the mystery that so many times is so much larger than us to even comprehend. As we involve ourselves or guide others into the creation of beauty through symbol, imagination, creative expression, ritual and connection to place/body/earth, we develop a deeper intimacy with our inner being, soul and all that surrounds us.
If you can bring to our gathering art materials, and/or craft materials you might have at around, feel free...this can be as small or rich as you feel so called and/or life permits. It can be as simple as a crayon or marker and a piece of paper.

Becky ChiefEagle will be guiding us along the journey that she and her people have made from wholeness through the devastating impacts of genocide, colonization, essentially through ongoing violence towards women and girls and the feminine on all fronts. She will then share the traditionally rooted and Spirit guided work that she is doing with other Elders in their communities to restore the agency, dignity, creativity, and wholeness of the people as they navigate through life’s ages and stages, especially adolescence. These teachings are sacred and universal, critical to the restoration of our original ways of being human in relationship with all species and all of nature.
